Abstract:
PET is one of the polymers which once recycled may be used in contact with food or beverages. The regulation is more restricted for these applications which require a chemical recycling instead of the most conventional mechanical one. The FDA text published in 2006 is the most recent guide which establishes the security issues in the applications of this material in food packaging.
